Joseph Sevillo is a Filipino Canadian actor, singer, dancer, choreographer, musical theatre teacher and musical creator born and raised in Winnipeg Manitoba. He has been a professional musical theatre artist for 23 years and has performed locally at Rainbow Stage,
Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Prairie Theatre Exchange, Manitoba Theatre For Young People,Winnipeg Studio Theatre, Koba Entertainment, the WSO; and nationally with the Mirvish Company, Drayton Festival, Citadel, Theatre Calgary and The Vancouver Opera.
Joseph has a vision to empower the IBPOC artistic and performing community in Winnipeg to create an avenue for them to tell their stories, hone their skills, and showcase their talents
through the art form of Musical Theatre.
He is the co-founder of Broadway Dance Convention, which is a one day musical theatre
intensive focused on singing, dancing, and acting and is the co-creator of Ma-buhay! Musical! which is Manitoba’s First All Filipino Musical set to premiere at Rainbow Stage in 2022.
Joseph hopes to lead his community by showing them that bravery and courage is the first step in creating opportunities that will amplify and spotlight our communities.

ANDREA MACASAET
VOCAL TECHNIQUE & PERFORMANCE FACULTY HEAD
Leading with light and love, Andrea is a performer who has been critically acclaimed by The Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, The Boston Globe and featured in The New York
Times.
Originating and making her Broadway Debut in the production of SIX THE MUSICAL at The Brooks Atkinson Theatre, Andrea has been playing the role of Anne Boleyn since the
North American premiere of the show in Chicago where it then travelled to The American
Repertory Theatre (Cambridge), Citadel Theatre (Edmonton) and to the Ordway Theatre
(Minnesota) before making its final stop in New York City. Her Canadian credits include
productions of Heather’s The Musical, Avenue Q, Prairie Nurse, Miss Saigon. With goals to
break the mold, Andrea is a driven, passionate artist - in and out of the work environment.

RACHAEL MCLAREN
BALLET, JAZZ & MODERN DANCE FACULTY HEAD
Rachael McLaren, born and raised in Winnipeg, started her artistic journey on the piano at age 3. She began her formal dance training at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School and continued her training at the Ailey School in New York under the direction of the late Denise Jefferson.
Her theater credits include Mamma Mia! Toronto Ensemble/Understudy (Royal Alexandra Theater/Mirvish Productions) and several children’s theater productions with KOBA entertainment. Her guest work includes NYC based dance companies Armitage Gone! Dance, the Nilas Martins dance company, the Francesca Harper Project and a special collaboration with The Royal Ballet in London for Wayne McGregor’s 10th anniversary season(Royal Opera House/Kevin O’Hare). She was a member of Ailey II, and a principal dancer of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater for 11 years, traveling, performing, and teaching dance in over 20 countries during her tenure. Film and Television appearances as a dance artist include ‘Lincoln Center at the Movies: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’, FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance, Lifetime’s Project Runway Allstars, and BET’s The Mo’nique show and The Wendy Williams Show.
Currently residing in Winnipeg, she has expanded her performance palette into the Film and Television industry as an Actor and Stunt performer all while enjoying the best role of her life, being the Mommy of her 2 year old and 1 month old daughters.
KATIE GERMAN
ACTING FUNDAMENTALS/TECHNIQUE & SCRIPT ANALYSIS FACULTY HEAD
Katie German is a Métis performer, director, and educator. She graduated from Grant MacEwan University for theatre performance and is currently working as the director of
Junior Musical Theatre Company (JMTC), artistic associate with Manitoba Theatre for Young People, a Creator with the Pimootayowin Creators Circle (RMTC), a co-facilitator for the Winnipeg chapter of the 3.7% and a mother to a 4-month-old who loves smiling and a creative
6-year-old that shares her love of storytelling.
